Timothy Gerard Mayza is a professional baseball pitcher from the United States who currently plays for the Toronto Blue Jays in Major League Baseball.
Mayza attended Upper Perkiomen High School in Red Hill, Pennsylvania, where she participated in the sports of baseball, basketball, and soccer during her high school career.
In November of 2009, he put his name on a letter of intent to attend Millersville University of Pennsylvania. In 2012, he was a member of the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Baseball League, where he played summer baseball for his college team.
Mayza was selected 12th overall by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2013. He began his career with the Gulf Coast League Blue Jays. Mayza had a 1–4 record, 7.76 ERA,
and 27 strikeouts in 29 innings in 2013. He divided 2014 with Bluefield and Short Season-A Vancouver Canadians. On August 15, 2017,
Ryan Mayza joined the Toronto Blue Jays. In a 6–4 defeat to the Tampa Bay Rays, he threw a scoreless 9th inning and struck out Peter Bourjos.
He was promoted to Triple-A Buffalo after 29 outings. He was 2–0 with a 3.28 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 352 innings for the Blue Jays. He tore his UCL and will have Tommy John’s surgery on September 13.
