Richard Thomas “Trace” McSorley III is an American football quarterback currently playing for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League.
His college football career at Penn State and the Baltimore Ravens selected him in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
He currently holds a number of school records at Penn State, including a record for the most passing yards in a season and a record for the most passing touchdowns in a single season.
From 2010 until 2014, McSorley was a student at Briar Woods High School, which is located in Ashburn, Virginia.
The Virginia Coaches Association and Virginia Preps both placed him on the first team of the state’s All-State team.
As a junior, he was recognized as a member of the All-Dulles District First Team, the Offensive Player of the Year for the Dulles District, and an All-Region quarterback.
