He was raised in the American city of Winter Park, Florida. Winter Park High School was his alma mater. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at the University of Miami, where he played college football for the Miami Hurricanes.
He played for the Miami Hurricanes for four seasons, and as a senior, he led the team in tackles, sacks, and tackles for loss with 10.5 and 37. He also won honors from the third team in the Atlantic Coast Conference. His collegiate career ended with 126 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, three passes defended, and three forced fumbles.
Harris joined the New England Patriots in April 2018 as an undrafted free agent. He was released following training camp, but the Patriots later added him to their practice squad in September 2018. In September 2019, the Miami Dolphins picked him up off waivers. On September 22, 2019, he entered the NFL. The Dolphins offer Harris a one-year, $585,000 deal in March 2020.
The agreement was signed by him on April 22, 2020. He joined the New York Giants practice squad in October 2020 and was later upgraded to the active roster on October 17 and October 22. He was fired in May 2022. He signed a contract with the Baltimore Ravens in August 2022, however he was released the same month.
