Tyler Larsen is a center with the Washington Commanders of the National Football League. He is 1.93 m tall and weighs 142 kg. At Jordan High School, he competed on both the offensive and defensive lines. As a senior, he recorded 27 tackles, six sacks, six forced fumbles, and four touchdowns, receiving first-team all-state and second-team all-region recognition.
He helped lead the Beetdiggers to the state playoffs each of the four seasons. 96 tackles, 16 sacks, 12 fumble recoveries, and four touchdowns were all part of his career totals. He played collegiate football for the Utah State Aggies at Utah State University from 2009 to 2013.
Prior to suffering a knee injury that ended his season early and earned him a medical redshirt season, he participated in the first two games of his freshman campaign. In 2014, after going undrafted, Larsen signed with the Miami Dolphins. He joined the Washington Redskins in February 2015 but was released prior to the start of the regular season for last-minute roster cuts.
He was given a futures contract in January 2016 by the Carolina Panthers. The practice squad re-signed him after his release on October 8, 2016. In March 2021, he committed to playing for the Washington Commanders football team. In December 2021, he was transferred to the injured reserve. On March 17, 2022, Larsen re-joined the group.
