Yonathan Daza is a Venezuelan professional baseball outfielder who currently plays for the Colorado Rockies in Major League Baseball. Daza was born on February 28, 1994.
In October of 2010, Daza became a member of the Colorado Rockies organization after signing as an international free agent. During his first three seasons as a professional athlete, he was a member of the Rookie-level DSL Rockies team.
After suffering an injury to his left shoulder in July 2018, Daza was only able to participate in 54 of the season’s total games. The Albuquerque Isotopes of Triple-A level were his starting team for the 2019 campaign.
After the conclusion of the 2017 season, the Colorado Rockies decided to include Daza on their 40-man roster. He played for the Hartford Yard Goats during the 2018 season, with a batting line of.306/.330/.461/.791 with 4 home runs and 29 RBI.
After suffering an injury to his left shoulder in late July 2018, he was only able to participate in 54 of the season’s total games. Daza began the 2019 campaign with the Albuquerque Isotopes at the Triple-A level.
On April 9, 2019, the Rockies gave him a promotion to the major leagues in response to the fact that David Dahl had been placed on the disabled list.
On the very same day, he made his debut in the major leagues, taking the field against the Atlanta Braves.
