Coming out of high school, he was a three-star recruit and chose to attend Florida Atlantic University. As a freshman in 2017, he tallied four tackles, including three solos, in a game against Navy. He played in 14 games and had a career-high of 52 tackles, (30 solos). As a sophomore in 2018, he played in 12 games and had 51 tackles and two pass picks.
He played in 13 games in 2019, recording 44 tackles. He took part in nine games in 2020, recording 46 tackles, 1 interception, and five passes defended, earning him an honorable mention for the Conference USA team. He participated in 12 games in 2021, recording 51 tackles and 10 passes defended.
He played in 60 games in five seasons of collegiate football, totaling 244 tackles, five interceptions, 26 passes defended, two forced fumbles, and one sack. He had decided to pursue a communications major. He signed a free-agent contract with the New York Giants in May 2022.
