Nik Needham, real name Nikolas James Needham, is a cornerback with the National Football League’s Miami Dolphins. He has a height of 1.85 meters. His weight is 89 kilos. His football career and high school education were both finished at Buena Park High School. After graduating from high school, he went to the University of Texas at El Paso and played collegiate football for the UTEP Miners squad.

He played for the UTEP Miners for five seasons, redshirting his first year. He finished his collegiate career in 41 games with 213 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions, and a school record 33 passes broken. He signed a free agent contract with the Miami Dolphins in April 2019. He was released in August 2019 as part of the team’s final roster cuts, but the following day, he was added to the practice squad.

He was added to the active roster in October 2019. He started at cornerback the following day against the Washington Redskins in his NFL debut, going on to record one tackle and one pass deflection. The Dolphins gave him an exclusive-rights free agency tender on March 8, 2021. He signed the one-year contract on April 19. In March 2022, the Dolphins made him a restricted free agent offer in the second round.
