Why did Browns change their name?

The Cleveland Browns are a professional American football team based in Cleveland. Named after original coach and co-founder Paul Brown, they compete in the National Football League as a member club of the American Football Conference North division.

The team is head coached by  Kevin Stefanski with the owner of the team being  Dee Haslam whiles the mascot of the team happens to be Brownie the Elf, Chomps and a Swagger.

Why did Browns change their name?

The team changed their name after it was revealed that they would be called the “Cleveland Panthers”  but Brown rejected it because it was the name of an earlier failed football team.
