He played college football at Texas A&M, where he was a three-time all-SEC second-team selection.

he is known to have began his high school education at the  Dickinson High School where he played football for the school team.

Jalen after completing his high school education furthered it into college at Texas A&M where he played college football for the school team and was named as part of the three-time all-SEC second-team selection. 

Wydermyer signed with the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2022. He was waived on August 14, 2022.

On August 18, 2022, Jalen is known to have been signed by the New England Patriots.

He currently plays the position of a tight end whiles wearing the number 88 jersey for the team.
