Why Is Bohm Not Playing?

Alec Bohm is an American professional baseball third baseman for the Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball (MLB).



Bohm batted third in the lineup for Wichita State University throughout his college career, behind leadoff hitter Luke Ritter and Jenista.

Collegiate Baseball Newspaper named him first-team Freshman All-American after he batted 303 with six home runs and 30 runs batted in.



That summer, he played for the Coastal Plain League’s Wilmington Sharks, where he appeared in the CPL All-Star Game and defeated Dillon Stewart in the home run derby.

The Philadelphia Phillies selected Bohm in the first round, third overall, of the 2018 Major League Baseball draft. They had been without a quality third baseman since Scott Rolen was traded in 2002.

In 380 at-bats, Bohm hit.247 with seven home runs and 47 RBIs. He also had 15 errors at third base, resulting in a.936 fielding percentage. Bohm.

Both Bryson Stott, the Phillies’ top prospect, and Girardi were named to the 2022 Opening Day squad, with Girardi informing reporters that both infielders will see regular playing time.

During the Phillies’ game against the New York Mets, he had three throwing mistakes in as many innings. He apologized for the incident after the game, noting that the statement was made out of frustration.

Why Is Bohm Not Playing?

Alec Bohm is not playing simply because of a sore wrist. Bohm has not played for Triple-A Lehigh Valley and was demoted in late August in an effort to get him back on track following a very disappointing sophomore season at the big-league level.
