William Grier is an American football quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League.
In the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers picked him after he played college football for Florida and West Virginia.
The West Virginia Mountaineers were his former squad. While attending Davidson Day School, Grier was a standout on the football field, earning him honours as both an All-American and Mr Football USA by Parade magazine.
When he was a junior, the previous record for passing yards in a game was 764; he smashed it with 837 as a senior.
By the end of his career, Grier had thrown for 14,565 yards and 195 touchdowns while also running for 2,955 yards and 31 scores. This is a state record. Simply in terms of passing yards,
he had a state record. It’s been decided that he will play quarterback for the University of Florida Gators. After sitting out as a freshman to take a redshirt, Grier competed with Treon Harris for the starting quarterback position in 2015.
His greatest performance to date came on October 3 when he completed 24 of 29 passes for 271 yards and four touchdowns.
A new record for him was just set with this performance. Following the revelation that Grier had a positive test result for a PED, he was given a one-year suspension that began on October 12, 2015. Florida announced Grier’s intention to transfer to another school in December 2015.
