Football player William Hernandez plays guard for the National Football League’s Arizona Cardinals. He measures 1.88 meters in height and 152 kg in weight. He went to Chaparral High School. From 2013 to 2017, he was a member of the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) Miners football team.

From 2014 through 2017, he started all 49 of the games he participated in after redshirting his rookie season. He was selected for the second All-American team following the 2016 campaign. He was picked for the C-USA first team following the 2017 campaign. A ticket to the College Football All-Star Challenge was also given to him. Hernandez was taken by the New York Giants in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

He and the New York Giants reached an agreement on the terms of a four-year, $7.45 million contract on May 12. A $5.08 million guarantee is included, as well as a $3.49 million signing bonus. The PFWA All-Rookie Team also included him, and he was picked as the Giants’ starting left guard to begin the season. In the team’s 16 games, he began every one of them. When the Giants discovered that he had tested positive for COVID-19 in October 2020, they put him on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

He returned to the list of competitors in November 2020. Despite making a full recovery, he lost his starting left guard position to rookie Shane Lemieux, and was relegated to backup left guard for the remainder of the season. He was signed on a one-year contract on March 28, 2022 with the Cardinals.
