William “Will” Hernandez[1] is an American football guard who currently plays for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. Hernandez was born on September 2, 1995. (NFL).

He attended UTEP for his college football career. After spending his first year at UTEP in 2013 on the bench as a redshirt, Hernandez went on to start all 49 games between 2014 and 2017.

Hernandez was named the second team of All-Americans after the conclusion of the 2016 season. Following the conclusion of the 2017 campaign, Hernandez was selected for the first-team All-Conference USA.

In addition to that, he was asked to participate in the College Football All-Star Challenge. During the 2018 National Football League Draft, the New York Giants selected Hernandez in the second round.

In 2018, Hernandez was given the responsibility of starting at left guard for the Giants and went on to start all 16 games. He was also selected to the PFWA All-Rookie Team.

After Hernandez tested positive for COVID-19 on October 29, 2020, the Giants put him on the reserve/COVID-19 list in order to protect the team from further exposure to the virus.

On November 10, he was reinstated to the active roster but was used exclusively in a reserve capacity for the rest of the season.
