Zach Allen Contract, Salary and Net Worth

In 2022, the Arizona Cardinals will have to pay a little bit more money to three of their younger defensive players than what was originally written into their contracts. In their fourth season in the NFL, defensive lineman Zach Allen will receive a big raise thanks to demonstrated performance escalators.

Allen, who was selected in the third round in 2019, was projected to earn a salary of more than $1.1 million.

Because of something that is known as a proven performance escalator, players who were taken in the second round or later are eligible for a compensation increase in their fourth year depending on one of three scenarios: either getting more playing time or being selected to the Pro Bowl.

To qualify for Tier 1, a second-round pick must have participated in at least sixty percent of the team’s offensive or defensive snaps over the course of two out of the previous three seasons. When the second round is complete, the average chance of reaching that tier is 35%.

According to Over the Cap, Allen has achieved Tier 1 status. In 2019, Allen participated in only 12.9% of the Cardinals’ defensive snaps, but in each of the previous two seasons, he reached 45.4% and 63.0% respectively.
