Zach Eflin

Zach Eflin is a professional baseball personality who resides in the United States of America. He plays a pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball.

Prior to joining the Phillies in 2015, he was drafted by the San Diego Padres and played for the baseball team in his early baseball career.

Before assigning Eflin to the Class AA Reading Fightin Phils, the Phillies invited him to spring training as a non-roster player.

Eflin pitched in the Eastern League in 2015, as part of a starting rotation that included elite Phillies prospects Aaron Nola, Jesse Biddle, Ben Lively, and Windle, who are expected to be the centerpieces of a future Phillies pitching staff.

He concluded the 2015 season with an 8–6 record, a 3.69 ERA, a 1.21 WHIP (tied for ninth in the league), 68 strikeouts in 131+23 innings pitched, and a 1.21 WHIP (tied for ninth in the league).

He was named Eastern League Pitcher of the Week on April 12 and an Eastern League All-Star in the middle of the season.
