Zach Plesac

Zach Plesac is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2019.

Crown Point, Indiana, is where Plesac was born, and it is also where he received his high school education, where he excelled academically and received numerous awards. At CPHS, Plesac excelled in three sports: football, basketball, and baseball.

In 2014, he became a member of the Ball State Cardinals, the university’s baseball team, after enrolling at Ball State University.

In his first year of college baseball, he received the title of Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Freshman Pitcher of the Year by compiling a win-loss record of 12–2, an earned run average (ERA) of 2.11, and six saves in a total of 25 games played, of which he started six of those games.

In addition to that, he was recognized as a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-Midwest Region Team, a Freshman All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, a Louisville Slugger Third Team All-American, the Mid-American Conference Freshman Pitcher of the Year, and a Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American.

In 2015, he earned All-MAC Second Team accolades by posting a 5–5 record with a 3.27 earned run average in 16 starts.

American professional baseball pitcher Zach Plesac was born to his parents Ron Plesac (father) and Jeannie Plesac (mother). His parents gave birth to two additional brothers whose names are yet to be known.
