As an offensive lineman with the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League, Zachary Edward Martin, also known as Zack Martin, plays football professionally. He is 1.93 m tall and 143 kg in weight. He played football while a student at Bishop Chatard High School, where he was chosen to participate in the 2009 Under Armour All-America Game in Orlando, Florida.

At the University of Notre Dame, he participated in collegiate football for the Fighting Irish. After defeating Rutgers 29-16 in the Pinstripe Bowl, he was awarded MVP, making him the only offensive lineman to do so in a college bowl game since 1959.

With the 16th overall choice, the Dallas Cowboys selected Martin in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. As of June 2018, he was the highest-paid guard in the NFL after agreeing to a six-year, $84 million contract extension with the Cowboys, which included $40 million in guaranteed money. In Week 14 of the 2020 season, he suffered a knee injury, forcing him to miss the following week’s game for the first time in his career.
