As an inside linebacker with the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League, Zakoby McClain plays professional football. He is 1.83 meters tall and weighs 99 kg. On March 7, 2000, in Valdosta, Georgia, in the United States, he was born to Willie Mcclain and Prettina Brown. Attended and participated in football at Valdosta High School in Valdosta, Georgia.
Right out of high school, he was a 4-star recruit. He was ranked as the 13th best outside linebacker prospect nationally and the 24th best prospect in the state of Georgia. He chose Auburn University over offers from LSU, Tennessee, and other universities. He played collegiate football for the Auburn Tigers from 2018 to 2021.
In his first season, Zakoby McClain played sparingly. The next year as a sophomore, he played every game as a starter, and in the 2019 Iron Bowl against rival Alabama, he had a 99-yard pick six that assisted the Tigers in pulling off an upset 48-45 victory. His junior season saw him record the most tackles in the nation with 113 total.
During his senior year, he was selected for the Second-Team All-SEC Team. In December 2021, Zakoby revealed that he will skip Auburn’s bowl game in favor of entering the 2022 NFL Draft. He was passed over in the 2022 NFL Draft but yet signed with the Baltimore Ravens.
