The Kansas City Chiefs’ Zayne Anderson is a defensive back in the National Football League. At 1.88 meters tall, he weighs 93 kilograms. He played safety and running back in varsity football while a student at Stansbury High School. Following his high school graduation, he attended at Brigham Young University, where he played NCAA football for the BYU Cougars.
In his eight games as a freshman in 2015, he mostly played on special teams and had three tackles. He took part in every one of the 13 games in 2016 as a sophomore, making 11 tackles, including six solo. In the 12 games he played in as a safety during his junior season of 2017, he started every single one of them, and he finished with 61 tackles, including 41 solo stops.
During his medical redshirt year in 2019, he participated in two games, starting one before being hurt. He played in 50 games at BYU and accumulated 162 tackles over his career, despite redshirting for two seasons due to injuries. The Kansas City Chiefs signed Anderson as an undrafted free agent after he was not selected in the 2021 NFL Draft.
He was released on August 31, 2021, and on September 1 he joined the team’s practice squad. He was elevated to the list of the active players in December 2021. On August 30, 2022, the Chiefs dismissed Anderson, and the next day he was added to the practice squad.
