Robert Stephenson is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for the Cincinnati Reds.

In 2014, the Reds invited non-roster invitee Stephenson to spring training. Stephenson has been sent down to Pensacola by the Reds. At the 2014 All-Star Futures Game, he was a participant.

In 136+23 innings thrown with Pensacola, he was 7–10 with a 4.74 ERA and 140 strikeouts. During spring training in 2015, the Reds invited Stephenson to participate.

When he was promoted to the Louisville Bats of the Class AAA International League, he pitched to a 3.68 ERA with 89 strikeouts in 7813 innings and a 2.36 ERA in his final 10 starts. He began the season with Pensacola. The Reds signed him to their 40-man roster at the end of the season.

The Reds optioned him to Louisville to begin the season after he competed for a starting place throughout spring training in 2016. Stephenson was added to the Reds’ Opening Day roster on April 4 when Homer Bailey was placed on the disabled list.

On April 7, he made his MLB debut and was immediately sent back to Louisville. When Alfredo Simon was injured, Stephenson was called up to make his second start in place of the right-hander.
