The Houston Astros are a Major League Baseball team headquartered in Houston, Texas. The Astros are a member of the United states League (AL) West division in Major League Baseball (MLB), having switched to the branch in 2013 after 51 seasons in the National League (NL).
The Houston Astros were founded in 1962 as the Houston Colt.45s and joined the National League as an expansion team alongside the New York Mets.

James Click born on February 14, 1978 is a Major League Baseball general manager for the Houston Astros. Click spent 15 years with the Tampa Bay Rays before joining the Astros as general manager in January 2020.
Click is a North Carolina native. In the year 2000, he received his bachelor’s degree from Yale University. After graduation, Click worked as a writer for Baseball Prospectus, where he assisted with the upkeep of their PECOTA system.
Click joined the Tampa Bay Rays as an intern in 2005 after being recommended by Chaim Bloom, who worked with him at Baseball Prospectus. In 2006, the team hired him for their front office. In 2017, he was elevated to vice president of baseball operations. The Houston Astros hired Click as their general manager in January 2020.
Ace Padian, Click’s wife, earned a Yale diploma in 2000 as well. They have two kids together.
