Novak Djokovic is a Serbian professional tennis player. He is currently ranked world No. 3 in singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).
Djokovic was born on May 22, 1987, to Sran and Dijana okovi in Belgrade, Serbia. He is the son of Sran and Dijana (née agar). This man’s ancestry comes from a Serbian father and a Croatian mother. Likewise, Marko and Djordje, his younger siblings, both played professional tennis.
A mini-racket and a soft foam ball were given to Djokovic by his parents when he was four years old and quickly became “the most adored item in his life,” according to his dad.
A tennis camp in Novi Sad was the next stop for his parents. Djokovic’s parents owned a fast food restaurant and an athletic equipment store on the mountain where he grew up, and he attended a tennis camp there in the summer of 1993 under the guidance of Yugoslav tennis player Jelena Geni.
During the subsequent six years of working with the young Djokovic, Geni came to the conclusion that, given his quick development, it was best for him to go abroad in quest of a higher level of competition.
