Justin Thomas is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour and is a former World Number One. In 2017, Thomas experienced a breakout year, winning five PGA Tour events and the FedEx Cup championship.
Thomas was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on April 29, 1993, and grew up there. North Oldham Middle School was where he was educated.
In August 2009, he competed in the Wyndham Championship on the PGA Tour and made the cut at 16 years, 3 months, and 24 days old, becoming the third-youngest player to do so on the PGA Tour before his junior year. To be precise, Thomas finished high school at St. Xavier’s in 2011.
At the University of Alabama, Thomas won six championships in the Crimson Tide’s college golf program. He won the Haskins Award as the best collegiate golfer as a freshman in 2012. He was a member of the 2013 national winners.
Goshen’s Harmony Landing Country Club has been home to Mike Thomas, Thomas’ father, since 1990. Thomas grew raised a die-hard Louisville Cardinals supporter.
In 2013, Thomas made the leap from amateur to professional status by qualifying on the Web.com Tour. At the 2014 Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship, he made his professional debut.
