In a recent ceremony that was organized in Barbados, Rihanna was declared a national hero by the prime minister of the country of Barbados. She was honored during a ceremony marking the country’s new status as a republic

During her ceremony, the country’s prime minister Mia Mottley addressed the singer and fashion icon by saying

“ambassador Robyn Rihanna Fenty: may you continue to shine as bright as a diamond” with reference to her hit song diamond which was released in 2012-” and bring honor to your nation, by words, by your actions, and do credit wherever you shall go. God bless you, my dear”

Those were the exact same words of Prime Minister Mia Mottley which clearly indicates that the pop singer and fashion icon has over the years proven to be worth all the glories and honors bestowed upon her
