Anne Heche, an actress best known for her roles in “Donnie Brasco,” “Wag the Dog,” and “Six Days, Seven Nights,” passed away on Friday, seven days after being involved in a horrific vehicle accident that left her in critical condition and a coma on August 5. (via CNN).

Her family revealed that she had been taken off of life support, confirming her death (via The Guardian). According to Fox News, she is survived by her two sons, Atlas Heche Tupper and Homer Laffoon.

Known for playing twins Vicky Hudson and Marley Love on the soap opera Another World (1987–1991), Anne Celeste Heche (May 25, 1969–August 12, 2022) was an American actress who won two Soap Opera Digest Awards and a Daytime Emmy for her performance.

She gained more notoriety in the late 1990s because to appearances in the criminal drama Donnie Brasco (1997), the disaster movie Volcano (1997), the slasher movie I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997), the action comedy Six Days, Seven Nights (1998), and the drama-thriller Return to Paradise (1998).

Heche was nominated for a Saturn Award for her performance as Marion Crane in Gus Van Sant’s horror remake Psycho (1998), which gained her a role in several well-regarded independent movies, including Birth (2004), Spread (2009), Cedar Rapids (2011), Rampart (2011), and Catfight.

She was praised for both her work on Broadway, particularly Twentieth Century, for which she received a Tony Award nomination and for her part in the television movie Gracie’s Choice, for which she received a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award.

Heche’s television roles included Men in Trees (2006–08), Hung (2009–11), Save Me (2013), Aftermath (2016), and The Brave (a military drama). In addition to her film appearances, Heche also acted in these shows (2017).

She performed as a contestant on the 29th season of Dancing with the Stars and contributed her voice to the animated television series The Legend of Korra (2014), as Suyin Beifong.
