Tyler Conklin, a tight end with the New York Jets of the National Football League, was born on July 30, 1995. He attended Northwood and Central Michigan for his collegiate football career before being selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Conklin was a standout two-sport athlete at L’Anse Creuse High School – North in Macomb Township, Michigan, where he competed as a wide receiver in football and a combo guard in basketball.
Conklin scored 22 points in a 59-46 semifinal loss to eventual state champion Saginaw High as a junior, helping his basketball team advance to the Class A Final Four.
Conklin received a full-ride basketball scholarship to Northwood University after graduating from high school. In the seven games he participated in during his one-semester stay, he averaged 2.6 rebounds, 1.9 points, and 1.4 assists. However, he transferred to Central Michigan University in the middle of his first year and walked on to the football team there.
Conklin sat out his rookie season with the Chippewas in order to put on weight because his weight was below average for the tight end position. He won a backup position in 2015 after putting on 25 pounds over the winter, catching six passes for 95 yards.
In addition to placing second among tight ends in the vertical jump, fourth in the broad jump, fifth in the three-cone drill, and ninth in the 40-yard sprint at the 2018 NFL Combine, Conklin also did well in other events.
Who Is Tyler Conklin Girlfriend?
Scottie Falk has been Conklin’s longstanding girlfriend, and it is estimated that she is between the ages of 24 and 28. It would appear that the couple became engaged not too long ago. A member of Conklin’s other team offered his congratulations to him and Falk on the new ventures they are undertaking in their lives together.
