A National Football League outside linebacker with the New York Jets, Bryce Huff was born on April 17, 1998. He participated in Memphis’s college football program.
As a true freshman, Huff largely participated in special teams. As a sophomore, he joined the pass rush rotation, made three starts, and finished the season with 30 tackles, five tackles for loss, and two sacks.
Huff was chosen to the second team of the American Athletic Conference as a junior after compiling 49 tackles, leading the team with 9.5 sacks, and recording 19 tackles for loss. With 6.5 sacks and 15.5 tackles for a loss, he led the Tigers once more, and he was selected for the second team of the AAC.
On May 6, 2020, not long after the 2020 NFL Draft was over, Huff signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent. On September 5, 2020, he was declared to be a part of the Jets’ initial 53-man roster.
On September 27, 2020, Huff made his NFL debut against the Indianapolis Colts, intercepting a ball in a 36-17 defeat. Huff’s first career sack of Ryan Fitzpatrick came in Week 6’s 24-0 loss to the Miami Dolphins.
Huff began the 2021 season as the Jets’ starting linebacker. Prior to being placed on injured reserve on November 4, 2021, due to a back ailment, he started the first six games. On December 18, he was put into service.
