According to Shia LaBeouf, Olivia Wilde lied about cutting him go from her new film Don’t Worry Darling.
According to a recent Variety interview with Wilde, he was replaced in the movie by Harry Styles because his “process was not conducive to the ethos that I expect.”
LaBeouf, however, reportedly reveals that he actually quit the movie rather than being fired.
He provided the publication with a text message he claims Wilde gave him during a meeting to discuss his exit as proof.
She reportedly writes, “Doesn’t feel good to say no to someone,” and adds, “I’m sad because it could have been something great.”
Additionally, LaBeouf posted a video that he claims Wilde sent to him after he reportedly left the movie.
According to reports, Wilde states in the video, “I feel like I’m not ready to give up on this yet,” alluding to a falling out between LaBeouf and the movie’s lead Florence Pugh by saying, “this might be a bit of a wake-up call for Miss Flo.” Additionally, it is said that Wilde hopes “you guys can make peace.”
LaBeouf also revealed an email he addressed to Wilde this week in response to some of her statements from Variety.
He says, “You and I both know the reasons for my exit. “I left your movie because I couldn’t find time to practice with your actors,”
Although Wilde hasn’t replied to LaBeouf’s accusations, they are the latest controversy to surround the movie following rumors that tension between Pugh and Wilde was caused by an alleged affair between the two.
