Darrel Williams is an American football running back for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at LSU. He was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2018.
After graduating from John Ehret High School in Marrero, Louisiana, where he earned a total of 2,036 yards and 27 touchdowns in his senior season, Williams was rated as a four-star recruit by various recruiting services.
Arizona State, Wisconsin, Tennessee, and Florida were among the schools that extended him a scholarship offer.
When Williams was a freshman at LSU, he participated in a running back rotation that included three other players.
As a senior, he filled in for an injured Derrius Guice in a number of games and started those games.
On October 21, 2017, he became the first player in LSU history to record at least 100 running yards and 100 receiving yards in the same game against Ole Miss. He did this by being the first player in LSU history to accomplish this feat.
