Troy Andersen is an American football linebacker for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Montana State where previously played quarterback, running back and fullback for them before moving to linebacker.
He went to Beaverhead County High School, where he participated in multiple sports, including football (where he was a quarterback and safety), basketball, and track (where he was on the team).
Andersen was honored as the first-team All-State quarterback and safety as well as the Montana Defensive Player of the Year during his senior season.
He was able to lead Beaverhead to the Class A state championship while also passing for 1,403 yards, rushing for 877 yards, and scoring 30 total touchdowns on offense.
Additionally, Andersen recorded 71 tackles, three interceptions, and two fumble recoveries while playing on defense.
Andersen was a true freshman when he played college football and started games as both running back and linebacker.
