Will Grier is an American football quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL).
He played college football at Florida and West Virginia and was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the third round in the 2019 NFL Draft.
At the end of the 2018 campaign, Grier threw for 3,864 yards, scored 37 touchdowns, and turned the ball over eight times. At the end of the regular season, he was honored with a spot on the second team of All-Big 12 Players.
Grier made the announcement that he would not participate in the bowl game in order to prepare for the 2019 NFL Draft after West Virginia ended the regular season with an 8–3 record. The Mountaineers were invited to play in the Camping World Bowl.
If all goes according to plan, Grier will be awarded the Senior CLASS Award for FBS football in 2018, which is given to the senior student-athlete who excels the most across the FBS institutions.
In the 2019 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers selected Grier in the third round (100th overall), becoming him the team’s first pick.
