Stormzy is a British rapper who was born Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr. on July 26, 1993. His Wicked Skengman series of freestyles over classic grime beats won him notoriety in the UK underground music scene in 2014.
After launching a campaign to achieve Christmas number one, Stormzy’s song “Shut Up,” which was originally published as a freestyle on YouTube, got successful and peaked at number eight on the UK Singles Chart.
