Bill Belichick is an American football coach born on the 16th of April, 1952 in Nashville Tennessee. Raised in Annapolis, Maryland, Bill developed a passion for football as he watched his father who was the assistant coach at United States Naval Academy. He is believed to have learned how to break down game films at an early age as he mostly monitored his Dad and the Navy staff doing their job.
After high school, Bill enrolled at Philips Academy for a postgraduate year in order to better his grades so he could attend college. From there he proceeded to the Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. He was a member of the football team at the University and played center and tight end respectively. He was inducted in the University’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008.

Bill Belichick began his coaching career as an assistant to the head coach of Ted Marchibroda Baltimore Colts in 1975 earning $25 weekly.
He later joined the Detroit Lions as their assistant special teams but was dismissed along with the head coach in 1978.
Belichick spent 12 years with the New York Giants from 1979 to 1990 occupying various positions in coaching. He started off as a defensive assistant and special teams coach to head coach Pay Perkins. He added linebackers coaching his duties in 1980. He was named defensive coordinator in 1985 and won the Super Bowl XXI and XXV following the 19986 and 1990 seasons.
Bill coached Cleveland Browns from 1991 to 1995 and was sacked in 1996. He went ahead to coach New England Patriots in 1996. He then joined New York Jets as Assistant Head coach and defensive coordinator.
Belichick’s job as head coach of New England Patriots commenced in the Year 2000. His outstanding performance and expertise have contributed immensely to the emerging as six times Super Bowl Champions.
