Christian Yelich is an American professional baseball left fielder for the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for the Miami Marlins.
In the 2010 MLB draft, the Miami Marlins selected Yelich in the first round. For the Marlins, he made his MLB debut in 2013; he was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers in the offseason of 2017.
In 2014, Yelich earned the Gold Glove Award, and in 2016, 2018, and 2019, he won the Silver Slugger Award and the Most Valuable Player Award in the National League.
At Westlake High School in Thousand Oaks (California), Yelich was a star athlete. He batted his freshman year. In 67 at-bats, he went 373 with 25 hits and 16 strikeouts.
