Cincinnati’s sixth-best prospect in 2018, according to MLB.com, is Chang. With the Columbus Clippers in 2018, he hit.256 with 13 home runs and 62 RBIs. He returned to Columbus to begin the 2019 season.

Chang was called up to the big leagues by the Indians on June 28th, 2019. He made his major league debut that night, playing third base for the Baltimore Orioles.

It was against the Kansas City Royals on August 25 that he recorded his first professional hit and triple, both against starter Eric Skoglund and reliever Scott Barlow.

A three-run homer against Los Angeles Angels reliever Justin Anderson on September 9 was his first major league home run. After 28 games, Chang batted just.178 with 1 home run and 6 RBI for the 2019 Cleveland Indians.

Chang appeared in just 10 games in the 2020 season, batting.182 with no home runs and one RBI. On Opening Day in 2021, Chang was in the starting lineup for Cleveland.

On June 5, he blasted a three-run home run off Baltimore Orioles reliever Adam Plutko for his first season home run.
