Drew Steckenrider is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for the Miami Marlins.
At the University of Tennessee, Steckenrider played college baseball for the Tennessee Volunteers. In 2011, he was a member of the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod Baseball League and played collegiate summer baseball.
When he was selected by the Miami Marlins in the eighth round of the 2012 MLB draft, he agreed to a contract with the team. Stucker made his debut for the Jamestown Jammers that year, and he lasted the entire season with them (eight starts).
In 2013, he pitched for the Greensboro Grasshoppers before undergoing Tommy John surgery in May with a record of 1-1 and a 4.58 ERA. Steckenrider pitched one scoreless inning as a rehab start for the GCL Marlins in 2014.
Greensboro and Jupiter Hammerheads in 2015, when he threw 25 games (13 starts) and had a 3.00 ERA, and Jupiter, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, and New Orleans Zephyrs in 2016, where he was 1-1 with a 2.08 ERA and a 0.85 WHIP in 40 relief appearances.
After the 2016 season, the Marlins added Steckenrider to their 40-man roster.
