Trouble, an Atlanta rapper who worked with Drake and The Weeknd, has passed away. He was 34 years old at the time.
The rapper’s death was confirmed by Def Jam in a social media statement on Sunday (June 5). On Instagram, the label wrote, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the children, loved ones, and fans of Trouble.” “He was a true ambassador for his city and an inspiration to the community he passionately represented.” Scoob, rest in peace.”
At the time of publication, the reason for Trouble’s death was unknown. His agents have been contacted by most media houses for more information.
Other members of the hip-hop community, including Mike Will Made-It, Gucci Mane, Rae Sremmurd, Meek Mill, T.I., and Jermaine Dupri, paid tribute to the rapper following his death.

Trouble, whose true name was Mariel Semonte Orr, debuted on the hip-hop scene in 2011 with his Duct Tape Entertainment mixtape on December 17th. The rapper exposed the horrors of Atlanta’s Zone 6 in the music video for the project’s popular “Bussin” single, which sent chills down the spines of mainstream America.
Trouble signed a joint venture with Mike Will Made-Ear It’s Drummers Records and Interscope following two jail sentences from 2008 to 2011 and 2017 to 2018. In March 2018, he launched his major-label debut, Edgewood. Drake, The Weeknd, Quavo, Fetty Wap, Low Down Dirty Black, and others all made cameos on the album.
In 2018, Trouble told Billboard, “My music reaches a personal level.” “That’s all I have to say about my life.” Most of the time, it doesn’t matter if the n—a is brand new to the game. I’m not about to pounce on any n—a. I prefer to build a genuine relationship before we begin working on songs.”
