Ajla Tomljanović is a Croatian-Australian professional tennis player. She has won four singles and three doubles titles on the ITF Circuit.



A career-high singles rating of No. 38 was achieved on February 21, 2022, when she attained her highest singles position ever. On January 5, 2015, she reached a career-high ranking of No. 47 in doubles.

Christina McHale and Tomljanovi won the Australian Open girls’ doubles title in 2009, making Tomljanovi an established young player. On March 30, 2009, she achieved a career-high junior rating of No. 4 in the world.

Tomljanovi had represented Croatia in international competitions. After being granted permanent status in her own country, she represented Australia in the 2014 US Open.

It wasn’t until January 2018 that she was awarded Australian citizenship, letting her compete for Australia at all WTA Tour events without having to represent Croatia at any non-Grand Slam tournaments.

Croatian-Australian professional tennis player Alja Tomljanovic was born to his parents Emina Tomljanovic (mother) and Ratko (father).

Ratko Tomljanovic was a native of Croatia and a professional handball player for the Croatian national team. During his career, the Croatian national team won the European Cup in 1992 and 1993.

Emina Tomljanovic is a caring mother who encourages and supports her daughter in her professional endeavors.
