Andrew Russell Garfield is a well-known British-American actor best known for his portrayal of the titular character in the Amazing Spider-Man film series.
Garfield made his cinematic debut in the American war film Lions for Lambs, after finding fame as a stage performer in London.
He later starred in the film Boy A, which was based on British novelist Jonathan Trigell’s bestselling novel of the same name.
He rose to international prominence in 2012 after starring in the film The Amazing Spider-Man as the popular Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man. The film was a major box office hit.

When Garfield was nine years old, he began taking acting training in Guildford, Surrey and appeared in a youth theatrical performance of Bugsy Malone.
He also joined a small youth theatre workshop group in Epsom and studied theatre at A-level before continuing his education at the Central School of Speech and Drama in the United Kingdom for another three years.
