Andy Goram was known to be a professional football goalkeeper. He played in the Scottish Football League. He was born on April 13, 1964, in Bury in the United Kingdom. He died July 2, 2022, from oesophageal cancer which he had been battling for a while now.

Goram represented Scotland in 43 international games and was chosen for their teams at the UEFA Euro 1992 and UEFA Euro 1996 tournaments, as well as the 1986 and 1990 World Cups. Goram played for numerous teams after his time with the Rangers, although his most notable stops were Motherwell and a brief loan at Manchester United. Goram played cricket for Scotland as well.

He continued to work as a goalkeeping instructor at many Scottish clubs after his playing career ended. When he went back to Motherwell in 2002, he started doing coaching on the side. Later, in March 2006 and February 2008, he served as a coach for Airdrie United and Clyde.

He was appointed goalkeeping coach for Lowland League team BSC Glasgow in October 2014. When he was hired as goalkeeping coach at Dunfermline Athletic in January 2015, he made a comeback to the world of professional football. He held the position there until May 2015, when he resigned.
