A horrific massacre destroyed the south Texas village of Uvalde just days before the conclusion of the school year. There were 21 persons slain in all, including 19 children and two instructors.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, 18-year-old Salvador Ramos shot his grandmother first, who is still in critical condition in the hospital. He eventually smashed his truck outside Uvalde’s Robb Elementary School before entering the building wearing body armor and starting a fire with a gun.
Investigators have not uncovered a motive, but they have stated that the shooter locked himself in a classroom and shot everybody who got in his way. He was killed during a gunfight with cops.
10-year-old Annabelle Guadalupe Rodriguez was later identified as one of the victims of the shooting. Her father, Rodriguez shared a photo of her, he said, “I was working, and I got info that my daughter was at the school where they were shooting, and I waited for more details. Now I’ve come back looking for my daughter and I can’t find her now,”
He also revealed that 10-year-old Annabelle Guadalupe Rodriguez and her cousin in the same third-grade class also died.
