After a car accident earlier this week that left her vehicle in flames, US actress Anne Heche’s family has stated that she is not expected to survive.

She has a serious anoxic brain injury, which occurs when the brain is deprived of oxygen, according to reports. She is still in a coma.

“We want to thank everyone for their good thoughts and prayers for Anne’s recovery,” they said. “We also want to thank the hardworking staff and great nurses.”

Last week, her car collided with a two-story house in Los Angeles. Although additional testing was required to rule out any medications supplied in the hospital, the police reported on Friday that early blood tests had shown the presence of drugs in her system.

American actress Anne Celeste Heche hails from Aurora, Ohio. She gained notoriety playing twins Vicky Hudson and Marley Love on the soap opera Another World (1987–1991), for which she received two Soap Opera Digest Awards and a Daytime Emmy Award.

She rose to fame in the late 1990s because to appearances in the drama-crime film Return to Paradise (1998), the action comedy picture Six Days, Seven Nights (1998), the horror film I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997), the disaster movie Volcano (1997), and the crime drama Donnie Brasco (1997). (1998).

After receiving a Saturn Award nomination for her performance as Marion Crane in Gus Van Sant’s horror remake Psycho (1998), Heche went on to play supporting roles in a number of well-regarded independent movies, including Birth (2004), Spread (2009), Cedar Rapids (2011), Rampart (2011), and Catfight (2012). (2016).

She drew praise for her work on Broadway, particularly Twentieth Century, for which she received a Tony Award nomination, as well as for her performance in the television movie Gracie’s Choice, for which she received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination.

Heche’s television credits included Men in Trees (2006–08), Hung (2009–11), Save Me (2013), Aftermath (2016), and the military drama The Brave, in addition to her work in movies (2017).

She voiced Suyin Beifong in the animated television series The Legend of Korra (2014) and participated in Dancing with the Stars’ 29th season as a competitor (2020).

Heche was severely injured during a series of two car crashes on August 5, 2022, in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles. The first crash had Heche’s Mini Cooper hitting a garage at an apartment complex. The second involved Heche crashing into a house and setting it on fire.

Heche’s car can be seen traveling through a residential street at a fast pace on a video taken just before the final collision, which is then quickly followed by the sound of a collision.

According to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department, it took 59 firemen 65 minutes to put out the house fire that resulted from the car accident and rescue Heche from the car. The home’s structural integrity was weakened, making it unsafe to occupy.

Although the home’s tenant was unharmed, she said that the fire had destroyed all of her personal belongings and that she and her pets had come dangerously close to death.

Heche was “deemed to be under the influence and acting strangely” at the time of the crashes, according to law enforcement officials, according to a statement to the Los Angeles Times.

Heche is believed to have been impaired by alcohol in both incidents, so police acquired a search warrant for her blood after the collision to analyze for drugs.

Heche was taken away from the scene of the collision and sent to a hospital on a stretcher. A Heche spokesman stated on August 8 that Heche was in severe condition and needed emergency ventilation due to lung damage.

Heche was kept on life support to see if her organs would be suitable for donation, but the spokesperson stated on August 11 that she was not anticipated to survive owing to an anoxic brain injury.

Who is Anne Heche’s Dad Donald Joe Heche?

Donald Joseph Heche and Nancy Heche (formerly Prickett). Heche’s family relocated eleven times while she was growing up, once settling in an Amish neighborhood. Heche responded, “Well, he was a choir director,” when asked about her father’s income in a 2001 interview on Larry King Live.

But I doubt he earned much from that each week. He claimed to be involved in the gas and oil industry, and he continued to claim this until the day of his death, despite never actually being so. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident is being looked at as a traffic accident involving felony drunken driving.
