Anthony Benjamin Kay, known in baseball only as Anthony Kay is a professional baseball player who pitches for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball. Born in March 1995 at Stony Brook, New York, United States, Anthony started his career at Ward Melville High School in East Setauket, New York.

In 2013 during the MLB draft,  the New York Mets drafted him in the 29th round but he did not sign with them and instead went further into college where he played college baseball for the University of Connecticut. During the 2014 /2015 baseball season, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League.

In the 2016 MLB draft, Anthony was drafted again by the New York Mets in the first round of the MLB draft (31st overall). Anthony did not play in a game that season as he got injured. He returned to play for the Columbia Fireflies and the St. Lucie Mets in 2018. In 2019, he started the season with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies after which he was promoted to the Syracuse Mets.



Anthony was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays team in July 2019 and in September that year he was promoted to the major leagues by the Jays. He made his MLB debut on September 7, 2019, for the Jays when they played against the Tampa Bay Rays team.
