Outside of the ring, Nash and Michaels are still close friends.

Their connection has never been stronger, and they now work together backstage in NXT to help WWE’s future stars.

Michaels was the one that persuaded Vince McMahon to employ Nash, who had previously worked for WCW

Kevin Nash, unlike Shawn Michaels, made it obvious throughout the episode that he never aspired to be a WWE superstar. Nash merely wanted to make more money, while Michaels aspired to win the WWE Championship.

Kevin Nash and Shawn Michaels met in mid-1993 when Kevin Nash became Intercontinental Champion Shawn Michaels’ bodyguard.

Both Michaels and Kevin Nash held the WWF Intercontinental Championship in 1993 and 1994. On June 6, 1993, Kevin Nash assisted Michaels in defeating Marty Jannetty for the Intercontinental Championship.

Michaels functioned as Diesel’s manager in mid-1994, guiding him to the Intercontinental Championship victory over Razor Ramon.

On Michaels’ orders, the duo became a tag team, and Diesel defeated The Headshrinkers at a house show to win the WWF Tag Team Championship on August 28, 1994, in Indianapolis, Indiana, just days before Michaels’ interference backfired, and Kevin Nash lost the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam on August 29, 1994.

Michaels and Nash reunited on June 3, 2002, when Nash announced Michaels as the New World Order’s newest member (nWo).
