The seventh season of Big Brother Naija, with the theme “Level up,” debuted tonight, with 12 housemates competing for prizes worth N100 million. The housemates would stay in the Big Brother house for 72 days in order to amuse TV viewers in Africa and other parts of Africa.

At the premiere of the show on Saturday, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the host, welcomed the contestants into the BigBrotherNaija home. He assured fans that this year’s version will be full of surprises because the popular “Ninjas” would be back, among other shocks.

Asake and Victony both gave fantastic performances on the premiere night, thrilling the in-person audience and fans. The grand prize for this year is N100m, which includes a cash award of N50m and items valued at N50m from the sponsors. Additionally, 30 viewers will win N1 million each in the “Fave Lock-In” promotion that is only available to DStv and GOtv subscribers.



Voting will only be available to active subscribers on the Big Brother Naija website, mobile site, and MyDStv and MyGOtv apps, maintaining the show’s voting format from previous year.

Currently, the audience of Big Brother Naija has been introduced to 12 housemates. They are Christ, Bryan, Phyna, PharmSavi, Daniela, Kess, Amaka, Cyph, Ilebaye, Khalid, Beauty and Groovy.
