Roman ildonzo Gabriel Jr. is a former American football player. He was born on August 5, 1940. He is currently 81 years old. Gabriel played in the National Football League as a member of the Los Angeles Rams.

He is a professional football player who played as the number 18, 5 as a quarterback for the team. Gabriel played 11 seasons for the Los Angeles Rams and 5 seasons for the Philadelphia Eagles.

He was practically born and raised in Wilmington, North Carolina. He was born to Edna Mae Wyatt and Roman Ildonzo Gabriel Senior. He grew up in a poor home and suffered from asthma. He did not let his condition stop him from doing what he loved most which was playing football. In high school, he played football at New Hanover.



During his years in college, he played for North Carolina State University in Raleigh as the star quarterback. He was a truly talented athlete and due to his skills and strength, he also played baseball and was voted the best amateur athlete in the Carolinas. He has a height of 6 ft 5 in (1.96m) and a weight of 225 Ib (102 kg).

He used to play for Los Angeles Rams from 1962 to 1972 and Philadelphia Eagles from 1973 to 1977. Due to his experience, he was appointed as the head coach for Cal Poly Pomona(1980-1982), Boston Breakers(1983) as the Offensive Coordinator, and Raleigh-Durham Skyhawks(1991).
