Bobby Joseph Wagner was born in Los Angeles, California on July 27, 1990, to Phenia Wagner (mother) and Bobby Wagner Snr (father).

Robert Wagner and Nakima Ward, his siblings, reared him in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, their mother passed away in 2009 from a heart attack.

Wagner Jr. went to Colony High School in Ontario, California, where he began to play football with his school’s squad more tactfully.



During his high school career, the young man was named to the all-CIF Central Division squad, the all-Mount Baldy League team, and the second-team California Division 2 all-state team.

Bobby was a starter for the Utah State Aggies from 2008 through 2011, recording 445 tackles, 28.5 for loss, 4.5 sacks and two interceptions in 48 games.

His college career stats were excellent enough to earn him an invite to the 2012 Senior Bowl, making him the second Utah State student to participate in the Senior Bowl following Chris Cooler (in 2004).

He won the Senior Bowl MVP award and was named the North’s Most Outstanding Player. Bobby Wagner was taken 47th overall in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks.
