He is now ranked first in the Netherlands in the men’s singles competition. Additionally, his career-best doubles ranking is 222nd in the world, which he accomplished for the first time on June 20th, 2022.

In Hamburg, Van de Zandschulp was victorious in the ATP Challenger singles competition, while in Alphen, he was victorious in the ATP Challenger doubles competition.



The turning point in Van de Zandschulp’s career came at the 2021 United States Open when he became only the third qualifier in the tournament’s history to go to the quarterfinals. He did it by advancing over the seeded Casper Ruud and Diego Schwartzman.

Additionally, he was just the third man ever to qualify for the main draw of all four major tournaments in the same calendar year, joining Elias Ymer (2015) and Frank Dancevic (2011) as the only other two men to accomplish this feat.
