Brandon Woodruff is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Woodruff was picked by the Texas Rangers in the fifth round of the 2011 MLB draft out of Wheeler High School in Mississippi.
He didn’t sign with the Rangers and instead chose to play collegiate baseball at Mississippi State University.
In 2014, his junior year, he had a 6.75 ERA in 37 innings pitched and was 1-3. He participated in the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Harwich Mariners as a college baseball player in 2012.
During the 2014 MLB Draft, he was selected in the 11th round by the Milwaukee Brewers.
During that season, Woodruff made his professional debut with the Helena Brewers and went 1–2 with a 3.28 ERA in 14 appearances (eight starts).
With the Brevard County Manatees in 2016, he had a 4–7 record and 3.45 ERA in 21 appearances (19 starts). The Biloxi Shuckers promoted him in May.
