Bryce Perkins is an American football quarterback with the National Football League’s Los Angeles Rams. He attended Arizona State University before transferring to Arizona Western College and then to Virginia, where he earned a starting position.
Chandler High School in Chandler, Arizona was Perkins’ alma mater. He led Chandler to their first state championship since 1949 as a senior. He tossed for 5,332 yards and 70 touchdowns in high school and added 26 rushing scores. Perkins has committed to play college football for Arizona State University.
Perkins redshirted his freshman year at Arizona State and missed the whole 2016 season due to a fractured neck.
In 2017, he enrolled at Arizona Western College. He tossed for 1,311 yards and seven touchdowns and carried for 353 yards and four scores in his lone season there.
Perkins enrolled at the University of Virginia in 2018. He was selected the team’s starter prior to the season. He started all 13 games and amassed 3,603 yards and 34 touchdowns to set the school record for total offense in a single season. He completed 225 of 349 passes for 2,680 yards, 25 touchdowns, and nine interceptions, as well as 923 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground.
For the 2019 season, Perkins returns to Virginia as the starting quarterback. Perkins started all 14 games for Virginia in 2019, completing 319 of 495 pass attempts (64.4 percent) for 3,540 passing yards, 22 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Additionally, he carried the ball 227 times for 769 yards (3.4 yards per carry) and 11 touchdowns.
